My stunning niece (who is a "Staffordshire terrier" or in people's terms : a pitbull terrier mix). However, she is NOT a killer, a fighter, or even a rough soul.
She is actually 400 % sweeter than sucrose, affectionate, born to love, and extremely pretty. She is pictured here alongside her little baby frog.
My brother adopted her from a "bully" breed rescue and this little girl was found tied around a stop sign because of her "title" and expected outcome. My heart wrenches when I think of such a story so I really want to stress how inaccurate predjudices can be. Please don't assume all bully breeds are exactly who people say they are. A lot of these little men and women do nothing but love and are never given a chance to do just that. Take a second and go see for yourself.
I love my Roxanne.

Pussy-footing around.
I do realize I like to neglect this site...and for a couple of reasons. One, I tell myself I don't "have the time" but really, what the heck else do I do? Two: for some reason I have always had this fear of committment, which I never used to even want to admit. Now that we have it out into the open, I still can't seem to nail down a regular schedule to do the deed. I guess I will always be a work in progress. Three: in the grand scheme of things this is similar to public speaking (minus the public speaking). Since blogs are so trendy these days, it takes a lot in the blog world to be able to capture an audience, maintain their attentiveness, and also allow for a regular following. Perhaps I'm just looking for every excuse NOT to blog.

Necessarily placed
Aah, with just a few short days short of two months, I have decided to return.
I feel comfortable with my new title and feel confident this may help hold things together with a common "theme".

COMING SOON......
A new revamp of my whole blessed blog at last!!!
A nice warm thank you to Howie who has encouraged me to "find and stick to" a specific blog topic....
After days and days (and one yoga class later)..I have finally settled on one and so...well, stay tuned. Oh and the new and improved updated blog shall include new features such as: easier commenting (without having to sign up), less advertisements, and an actual topic to follow!
Hate to leave you all hanging.....but it will be worth the wait. Promise!
Happy Monday.
I was pretty productive these last few late hours and considering it is now 2:45 in the AM..I say it's time to check my eye lids for cracks.

Day light savings time eh?
So I'm thinking all in all I know it won't be as bad as I am anticipating.
HOWEVER, having said that....I'm heading to bed before it has a second to catch up with me. Afterall, I did just lose a whole hour!
Hopefully from this point on: my spring has sprung, days will be nothing but fulfilling, and things will be just spiffy!
Talk soon,
JLE

That's what YOU thought!
I do exist....whereas, so do you ...since you are reading this and all!
.....almost to the extent that I should change my title to "Yes Charleston, there WAS a blog". At least this verifies that we are all under the understanding that I take my sweet ass time updating my thoughts.
Today I am going to introduce a new mindset of thinking...
Only recently have I discovered my theory that:
"You truly don't know who you are, until you meet someone just like yourself!"
Sure, there are other factors but how often do you hear someone say, " I don't know who I am, I'm trying to figure myself out, etc...."
I find this a remarkable revelation.
Therefore, this strikes a cord with me. It makes me wonder why we might go through life masking our uncomfortable feelings due to incompatibility's with ourselves and our mates. It is human nature to feel the need to secure comfort and consistency. Afterall, change is stressful, inconsistent, and downright exhausting. We all strive to secure consistency on a regular basis: with work, with our home, with our circle of friends and anything out of the ordinary throws a wrench into this little perfect way of thinking. So, to pull yourself out of a fradulant lifestyle would be most definitely be "out of the norm". People would inquire, you would question your decision, family would give more than their two cents, etc. Ultimately, if you were to go and step out of the box (so to speak), you may even experience relapse and perhaps even return to square one.
So, what would be the ultimate answer for a problem quite so intricate?
I foresee anyone experiencing these uncomforting feelings to go and make peace with themselves first. The word "peace" can be interrpreted in a myriad of ways to a myriad of people. So, whatever would make you feel peaceful within. Some describe this as their "gut feeling". After completing this step, you need to focus on doing something to benefit the situation at hand. Get your priorities straight and your mind made up and just shoot for the stars. Sounds like a piece of cake, right?
Not so much......In a perfect world, it would be. This is not a perfect world.
Whereas, you can make your own decisions and you don't HAVE to do anything you don't want to do (or because other people say you should do it etc....).

A light bulb or a blind fold?
So, I'm really not going to lie. Keeping up with a blog is hard work.
Not only that, it's a bit of a struggle since it is basically the equivalent to sitting and having a nice long chat with yourself. A one way conversation, if you will.
There is nothing necessarily wrong with this, it's just unusually unproductive at times since there isn't a whole bunch of feedback, my moods tend to overtake my fingers, and frankly: I run out of cool little things to talk about.
Not only that, but especially at 2 or 3 am. I'm usually ready to click that publish button a few short hours before some of you wake up to begin your day!
This makes me ponder the topic that gets brought up (by myself and others) on a more than regular basis. I often question the idea behind why some people prefer to be up at this time (owls), while others prefer early mornings (larks).
I once read a book that discussed the human individualism of circadian sleep rhythms and I would love to keep researching such a topic.
Similarly, it falls in the tracks of it's sister topic of today's society and the schedules people hold. I have met few people who share the same sleep patterns as myself. However, I choose to hold this type of pattern with my sleep for it works very nicely with my schedule. Had I known I was this night owl all along, I'm pretty sure my life would have held simplicity all along.
See, over the course of my (very limited) research, I have come to understand that I need to focus on things that will be mainframed in the late afternoon/early evening. I've tread water many times trying to remain afloat working anywhere from the 7,8,9, even 10Am ish schedule..but this just creates misery. After reading this book, I have learned that is because I'm just not "meant" to be using certain brainwaves until well into the afternoon.
This isn't necessarily a "bad" thing, although it is looked at as abnormal to some.
What really is "normal" anyway??? To me something normal may not be normal to you at all. Who am I to tell you that my interpretation of normal doesn't pan out to be what you are portraying.
I think as human beings, we tend to create an alliance with others that not only share the same interests, but also share the same schedule and who will be the most likely to fit into that schedule. There are exceptions to this prospective, but for the most part we search for those who can grant us the most amount of "time". Aha, there is another special word: TIME! Just so happens, the title of the book I was referring to is "TIME".
Something else to think about...because most schools and "normal" jobs are traditionally placed throughout the morning hours, we "train" ourselves (even if we aren't meant to do this) to maintain the unusual schedule and eventually just get used to it. I'm not suggesting that ALL people who work shifts (either morning or evening) are doing it because they have to, I am saying that I am willing to bet there is a lot larger percentage of people (who if they took a long hard evaluation of themselves) who may benefit just by changing their shift ultimately.
I'm going to leave it here for next time. This blog almost got philosophically displaced there for a few seconds, so I don't want you to think I was going nuts..(that's already happened!)...
To be continued next time around (not to be confused with a really good soap opera that sucks you in on a Friday afternoon 5 minutes before it is supposed to end....)
